Web App Shortcut For Android

With trying to make this website accessible on all devices I have added the ability to create a web app shortcut for your Android device. Follow the steps below to get the web app shortcut on your home screen.

  1. Go to http://www.theevernotebook.com – screenshot
  2. Click the “settings” hard button on your Android phone
  3. Choose “More” from the settings options - screenshot
  4. Click “Add bookmark” - screenshot
  5. Click “Ok” to save the bookmark - screenshot
  6. Go to a free spot on your homescreen and long press on the screen until the “Add to Home screen” shows up - screenshot
  7. Choose “Shortcuts” - screenshot
  8. Choose “Bookmark” - screenshot
  9. Choose your recently created bookmark for The Evernote Book - screenshot

I will add photos of these steps as soon as I can get someone who has a rooted version of Android to take some screenshots. I am also looking into ways to make this process even simpler.

Let me know how this feature works for you and if you have any suggestions.

Update 08/07/10:
Thanks to Michael Vay Lee from Buzz I now have some great screenshots to show to follow along with the steps.
